2020 has undoubtedly been a year of change. We’ve seen the fashion industry adapt as agents of change, we believe in facing these changes head-on. Fashion Africa 254’s role has always been to strategically connect African designers with top institutions that have aligned aspirations and the impulse to spark change. To channel this spark, we needed to shift and update ourselves to reflect where both Africa, and the world, are moving. That’s why we’ve refreshed the FA254.com website to better showcase our focus and unique offerings, while catalyzing conversations for new narratives that bridge Africa and Europe’s creative minds through fashion design.
The look and feel of the new FA254.com site is artistic and also functional, with a special focus on creativity and business – our two brand pillars. With enhanced navigation and greater functionality, we’ve made FA254’s full range of services and content readily available, demonstrating to visitors who we are and where we’re going.
Our newly revamped Projects page now showcases the full range of expertise and project experience that spans over 10 years, in an accessible and informative way that meets the needs of both current and prospective clients. Here, we aim to bring together initiatives surrounding education, business, and artistic collaborations, to sustain the viability of the creative industries.
A new addition to our website is the Magazine, showcasing fresh and original content across six main categories – Business, Style Movers, Our work, Fashion Stories, Sustainability, and our regular contributions to VOGUE.DE. Each topic in the Magazine showcases new and fresh ways to create and move in fashion while celebrating Africa’s contemporary richness and creativity.
Across the Brand Edit page, FA254 showcases the top African businesses making waves in international markets while fostering a collaboration between these brands and German-speaking markets. By building these global bridges, we believe in the power of collaboration to bring value and social impact across new markets.
With the launch of this new website, we aim to further catalyze our vision of innovation and exchange as powerful channels for transformation that move us forward into this next decade. By creating a strong platform for ourselves and the African designers we showcase, we are further committed to our belief that creative minds are not only the future, but are the solution for the present. Today’s world needs disruptive talented minds to lead us to new narratives because we have discovered that the old ones are already obsolete.
